White Label & Branding

White label matcha, ready to carry your brand

You want matcha on the shelf under your own name without developing a product from scratch. We supply Japanese matcha, packed under your branding, so you can move from decision to launch without building a supply chain first.

White label vs private label — the practical difference

The two terms get used interchangeably, but buyers usually mean different things by them, and the difference changes how long your launch takes.

  • White label means you take an existing product and put your brand on it. Fewer decisions, faster to market, and the formulation is already settled.
  • Private label means the product is developed for you — grade selection, blend, packaging format, sometimes a spec written around your drink recipe. More control, more lead time.

In practice most matcha programs sit somewhere between the two. If you already know you want a bespoke spec, start with our private label matcha page instead.

Who this fits

Retailers and e-commerce sellers adding matcha to an existing brand, café groups turning their house drink into a retail SKU, subscription boxes and gift brands, and distributors who would rather sell a branded product than a generic bulk bag.

What you decide

  • Grade. Whether your customers will whisk it straight or drink it as a latte changes which powder is right. Our ceremonial grade and culinary grade pages walk through the difference.
  • Format. Pouches, tins, or single-serve sachets — each has different filling requirements and different shelf presence.
  • Pack size. Retail-size units, food service tins, or both.
  • Volume. How much you need for a first run, and how quickly you expect to reorder.

How a first run usually goes

We start with a short conversation about the product and how it will be used. From there we can arrange samples so you can confirm taste and color in your own recipe before committing to a production order. Once the powder is settled, we work out packaging, volume, and timeline together.

What we don't publish

We don't quote a blanket minimum order or a price per kilogram on this page. Branded programs vary too much — grade, packaging, and volume all move the number, and a figure quoted without those details would be misleading. Tell us what you're building and we'll give you real numbers for your actual spec.

Frequently asked questions

Is white label matcha lower quality than private label?

No. The difference is how much of the product is customized for you, not the quality of the powder. The same grades are available either way.

Can I start with a small first run?

We have room to start smaller for a first production run so you can validate the product before scaling. The workable size depends on the packaging format you choose, so tell us what you have in mind.

Do you supply the packaging as well as the matcha?

We can arrange custom packaging formats — pouches, tins, or sachets — under your branding. Share your artwork and format preference and we'll work out what's practical.

Which grade should I choose for a retail brand?

It depends on how your customers will drink it. Ceremonial grade suits customers whisking matcha straight or making premium lattes; culinary grade suits products aimed at baking, smoothies, or high-volume drinks.
