Are the matcha samples really free?
Yes, for food and beverage businesses in the US. Cafes, coffee shops, boba shops, restaurants, bakeries, and retailers that are open and serving customers receive the sample kit and shipping at no charge. We look at the business details on each request before we ship, and we may ask for your Google Maps listing, website, or Instagram if we cannot find your shop. The kit is not for personal or home use.
How much matcha is in a sample kit?
Up to two grades of your choice, two sealed 10 g sachets of each, for up to 40 g in total. Each grade gives you 8 to 10 drinks at a standard 2 g dose, enough to whisk it straight, test it in two milks, and have your team taste it.
What does wholesale matcha cost after the tasting?
Our prices are published per kilogram, delivered to your US address with duties included: Organic Cafe $140, Ceremonial Barista $199, Uji Ceremonial Barista $209, Super Ceremonial $299, and Premium Ceremonial $369. Shipping is free on 10 kg or more; 5 to 9 kg orders add a flat $150. At a 2 g dose that is about $0.28 to $0.74 per drink.
What is the minimum order?
Five kilograms per order. Mix any grades you like, packed in 500 g bags, so you can stock a latte base and a step-up grade together. Orders are prepaid, milled to order in Japan, and delivered to your US address in 7 to 14 days.
Will the matcha I order match the sample?
Each grade is a fixed specification. The lot behind a grade can change with the season and supply, but a replacement always meets the same grade specification, and we confirm it with you before your order ships.
How fast do samples arrive?
We review each request and reply by email within 24 hours. Once we have confirmed your shop, the kit ships by USPS.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Free samples and the prices on this page are for US businesses. For other countries, email us at [email protected] and we'll reply individually.
Do you send samples to individuals or home users?
No. The free kit goes to shops and restaurants that will serve the matcha to their customers, and we decide after looking at each request. If you are planning an opening or want to try the full lineup, the $29 starter kit has all five grades, and the $29 is credited against your first wholesale order.
