Know your matcha
- Origin — the prefecture and, where it applies, the tea district (Uji, Kagoshima, Kyushu)
- Harvest — first flush is stated as first flush; if a lot includes later harvests, we say so
- Cultivar — named where the lot is single-cultivar or a fixed blend
- Lot number and milling date — so your sample and your order are the same tea
- Organic status — organic lots are JAS-certified in Japan and ship with the NOP import certificate required for a USDA Organic claim
- Certificate of analysis — pesticide, heavy metal, and microbiological results by lot, available on request
How lots are managed
Each grade follows a defined specification. Replacement lots are checked against its origin, harvest, and cultivar requirements and tasted side by side. Ask us about the current lot and availability when reordering.
Pricing and order sizes
Pricing depends on grade, volume, and delivery address. Small first orders are welcome. Email us with what you serve and we will send the sheet.
