Five grades, each a fixed standard
Prices are in USD per kilogram, delivered to your US address with duties included; free shipping on 10 kg or more, flat $150 shipping on 5 to 9 kg; minimum order 5 kg, mixing any grades in 500 g bags. Each grade is a specification, not a single lot. The name, spec, and price stay the same. The lot behind a grade can vary with the season and supply conditions, but a replacement always meets the same grade specification, and we confirm it with you before it ships.

The most refined matcha in the range: deep umami, natural sweetness, and a full body with no bitterness. Made to be served with water, as whisked usucha or koicha, where the tea itself is the product.

Organic Cafe
The everyday organic base

Know your matcha
- Origin — the prefecture and, where it applies, the tea district (Uji, Shizuoka, Kagoshima, Kyushu)
- Harvest — first flush is stated as first flush; if a lot includes later harvests, we say so
- Cultivar — named where the lot is single-cultivar or a fixed blend
- Lot number and milling date — so your sample and your order are the same tea
- Organic status — organic lots are certified under JAS in Japan. Selling them as organic in the US also needs an NOP import certificate for the shipment, so tell us before you order if you plan an organic claim
- Certificate of analysis — pesticide, heavy metal, and microbiological results by lot, available on request
How lots are managed
Each grade follows a defined specification. The lot we ship can vary with the season, the harvest, and supply conditions. When it changes, the replacement must meet the same harvest, origin, and organic requirements and is tasted side by side with the current lot. We tell you before your order ships and send it once you confirm. Ask us about the current lot and availability when reordering.
